Talents Pool
Now, we have over 800 experienced practitioners, including patent attorneys, patent engineers, trademark attorneys, IP lawyers, advisors and consultants, all of whom are outstanding graduates from prestigious universities in China and abroad with Doctor or Master’s degree. Some attorneys received IP law practice training both in China and in other western countries. In particular, Mr. Stephen Yang graduated from Tsinghua University with double bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and industrial engineering in 1997 and from University of Toronto with master's degree in mechanical and industrial engineering in 2004. Stephen studied US patent law in the USA in 2005. Stephen passed the Chinese National Patent Bar in 1999 and is experienced in patent search, drafting, prosecution, reexamination, invalidation and litigation in a wide variety of technical fields, particularly general machines, energy, electronics and hi-tech areas and has extensive experience in design patent practice. Stephen often lectures to local and international companies on corporate IP strategy and portfolio management on different occasions. He has published many articles in such international magazines and journals as The Asian Lawyer, IP Protection in China, Asia IP, WIPR, IPPRO, Intellectual Property Magazine, and China IP Focus. Stephen co-authored the book IP Protection in China published by American Bar Association (ABA) in 2015.

Stephen is very active in international organizations and is a member of the All-China Patent Agents Association (ACPAA), AIPPI China, LES China, and Association of Intellectual Property Firms (AIPF). Mr. Binglin Li has a distinguished career in IP laws since 1996 and has rich experience in patent prosecution, invalidation and litigation with main focus on chemical, biotech and mechanical field. And he has been member to All-China Patent Agents Association (ACPAA) and International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). Mr. Songsheng Ge used to be a mechanical Patent Examiner of the Chinese Patent Office from 1983 through 2005. Mr. Xiangyun Jin graduated from Changchun University of Science & Technology. Mr. Jin was granted Bachelor of Engineering in Optical Technology and Precision Instrument in 1994. In 2003, he graduated from Osaka Prefecture University and was granted Master of Engineering in Mechanics. Mr. Jin’s practice covers patent search, infringement analysis, drafting, prosecution, reexamination, invalidation and litigation for invention, utility model and designs, in a variety of technical fields, such as photo-electricity, mechanics, semi-conductor and electro-telecommunication, especially in sensor, image processing, transmission, display, computer technology, internet and home appliances. He is a frequent lecturer for clients and legal practitioners in an effort to do face-to-face discussion about key cases and promptly provide solutions about application strategies and practice tips, thus highly evaluated by customers.

Mr. Jin is chief translator of Introduction to the Patent Law of China (Abridged) published in Japan in 2015 and has also published many papers. Mr. Tingxi Huo, Chofn Partner and member to the MARQUES China Team and INTA Enforcement Committee, has been listed in WTR 1000 trademark attorneys as well as Asia IP experts for delivering “prompt and commercially sound advice”.
