Quinn Emanuel hires patent pro
Quinn Emanuel has hired Steven Cherny to join its New York office as partner.

Cherny is a patent litigation lawyer and has practiced in Federal Courts and the US International Trade Commission.

He previously worked at Kirkland & Ellis where he was partner.

His practice focuses mainly on patent cases in telecommunications, electronics and pharmaceuticals.

John Quinn, managing partner at Quinn Emanuel, said: “The firm’s IP litigation practice is booming.”

“Adding a widely acknowledged superstar in that space is a unique opportunity. We expect Steve Cherny will spearhead the firm’s growth in the medical device and telecom areas in particular.”
