Berkeley Research Group hires Jeffery Stec

Berkeley Research Group (BRG) has hired Jeffery Stec as managing director and leader of its intellectual property practice.

Stec will join BRG’s Chicago office and also serve as co-leader of its economics and damages community.

BRG is a consulting firm that provides data analytics and advice to financial institutions, law firms and regulatory bodies.

Stec has 17 years of experience in intellectual property and antitrust issues, and has worked to address economic issues, including the appropriate measurement of revenues associated with the use of infringing IP.

David Teece, chairman and principal executive officer of BRG, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Jeffery Stec to BRG.”

Teece said: “He is one of the most respected experts in the field and will add to the firm’s deep intellectual property expertise.”

Stec added: “BRG offers an exciting opportunity to continue to conduct my economic and survey research with a firm that is a leader in economic consulting with strong experience across a broad range of industries and disciplines.”
