MediaTek partners with Anaqua

Taiwanese semiconductor company MediaTek has selected Anaqua to manage its intellectual property activities, including its inventions and patents.

MediaTek was founded in 1997 and, up until now, has operated a self developed IP management system.

Anaqua explained that MediaTek chose Anaqua after a “comprehensive evaluation of many solutions”.

Karen Taylor, general manager of Asia Pacific at Anaqua, commented: “This is a significant new partnership that strengthens our presence and reputation in the Taiwan market.”

She added: “As we continue our growth in Asia Pacific, it’s an honor to serve one of the leading IP-owning companies in Taiwan.”

This is the second deal that Anaqua has reached in Asia in as many months. In October, the joint venture between Johnson Controls and Hitachi Air Conditioning selected Anaqua to globalise its IP management systems.
