AST hires former Yahoo! vice president

Allied Security Trust (AST) has hired former Yahoo! vice president and deputy general counsel, Ray Strimaitis.

Strimaitis will work in the newly created role of vice president of corporate development & global strategy, reporting to Russell Binns, CEO of AST.

He will lead AST’s member acquisition strategy and help the organisation’s global growth strategy.

Binns commented: “Ray Strimaitis brings a distinguished track record as a visionary executive and IP counsel with expertise that spans all aspects of the IP markets.”

He said: “I am confident that Ray Strimaitis’s global experience and strategic vision will prove instrumental to our evolution as an organisation as we seek new ways to better serve the interests of our members, including expanding into new geographic markets and industries.”
