FTI Consulting hires IP expert


FTI Consulting has hired David Eastwood as senior managing director in its economic and financial consulting practice.

Eastwood has experience in software and technology licensing, the enforcement of intellectual property rights and the licensing of brands and digital content.

He will be based in London and bolster FTI Consulting’s expertise in IP-intensive industries.

He has experience in telecommunications, digital content, pharmaceuticals and life sciences.

Kevin Hewitt, chairman of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at FTI Consulting, said: “As IP-rich industries such as TMT and pharmaceuticals continue to evolve and respond to changing market and technological advances, there will inevitably be a significant rise in the volume of contractual disputes.”
